Film Review by EMPIRE Magazine...

The review above comes from one of the World's biggest and best movie magazines. With EMPIRE Magazine being world-known and having a large readership, people would be able to decide for themselves whether they would see "Evan Almighty" based on the opinion of this at large movie magazine.

Within the review, EMPIRE states that although the audience may have been let down by the non-return of Jim Carrey, and co-star Jennifer Aniston, the onscreen impact of Steve Carell's character within the first film may have allowed the audience to become familiar with his actions.

Going further on by talking about the narrative of the film being related to two major arenas of current global controversy; religion and politics, the magazine states that it would be impossible for people to get offended by the storyline due to its toothless manner. Within the review, they talk about the different representations within the film; the suck-up John Michael Higgins, and sassy-snide Wanda Sykes (Evan's staff), and his endlessly patient wife (Lauren Graham), this shows that within the film there are many representations, some of which may have not been visible towards the audience.

They make note that Morgan Freeman's role within the film has dwindled down since his appearance in "Bruce Almighty" as the audience don't see much of him, and state that he has almost become foolish due to his leadership of a "self-regarding mass twit-dance" during the end credits.
