The video above is of an interview held by Stevie Wong, with Steve Carell, who plays the protagonist of the film "Evan Baxter". This interview is a useful piece of media text, as viewers are able to gain an insight and find out about how Steve felt about being in this sequel. Within the interview, Wong asks Carell what it was like being told that he would be the lead character of "Evan Almighty", to which Carell responds by saying that he had a mix of emotions. His answer towards this question could connote that he didn't expect there to be a sequel, let alone him being the lead character.
Possibly knowing that he stars in the American sitcom "The Office", Wong asks Carell whether he feels any differences towards being on TV and being in Movies, many actors/actresses will be able to relate to Carell's answer of this question as a lot of them are in the same position as him and sometimes feel the strain of having to deal with this sort of case. Carell also talks a lot about his experiences working with animals, and what it was like filming some of the scenes which made this film humorous.
This interview allows the audience to listen to Carell's side of what it was like to be in "Evan Almighty" and also to find out how he felt about playing the protagonist in a film of which he never thought would be made.
